UPDATE 3: Government not to introduce new all-Russia quarantine

(adds details in paragraph 6)

MOSCOW, Nov 23 (PRIME) -- The office for coronavirus spread prevention has no plans to introduce additional all-Russia antivirus restrictions, an official told PRIME on Monday after a meeting of the authority.

"The restrictive measures are introduced by the heads of regions, depending on the epidemic situation in a region. No additional federal level restrictions are planned," the official said.

Anna Popova, head of the consumer protection watchdog, said that the number of contagions is the highest among people working in offices, and the methods of contagion prevention for business must be elaborated. "I want to ask for your permission to make the methodic recommendations an obligatory requirement," she asked Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who said that the recommendations must be discussed with business first.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the situation with the virus varies from region to region but is really difficult in the majority of regions. Mishustin said that construction of new multi-aspect health centers remains priority in fighting against the pandemic.

Sobyanin said that the number of new contagion cases does not grow with only 6% of new cases detected last week.

Yevgeny Danchikov, head of the control administration for Moscow, said that the authority has seen more than 17,000 cases of coronavirus measures violation in the city since September 1, and activities of 164 companies were suspended.

Healthcare Minister Mikhail Murashko said that 58 Russian regions spent the money allocated to fight the pandemic on time and the rest of regions must do it faster.

The Russian government will include all vaccines for the coronavirus in the list of life-saving drugs, Mishustin said.

"The government is extending the list of life-saving and most important pharmaceuticals. All the existing vaccines for the coronavirus will be included in it, regardless of their names. They must be available to anyone who wants to get vaccinated," Mishustin said.
